Wandering
Wandering down the street Maybe somewhere I will eat Wandering down the street I’m looking down, down at my feet Wandering down the street Oh man who will I meet
No where to go, still I wonder why I wander No where to go, still I wonder why I wander No where to go, still I wonder why I wander
My feet carry me to the door Of a café I’ve been to before The rooms smokey and I can’t see No matter this foods no good for me I eat my food and then I’m gone I’m not satisfied very long
No where to go, still I wonder why I wander No where to go, still I wonder why I wander No where to go, still I wonder why I wander
Tonnes of people in the street Their beating time down with their feet I join the crowd and I walk for a while But there’s no sign of a smile I grow weary by the door I move passed many, many more I know I’ll get there one day Tell me where it is and I’ll say
No where to go, still I wonder why I wander No where to go, still I wonder why I wander No where to go, still I wonder why I wander

Wandering is an important song in my musical journey... It was written when I was playing with a great friend and bass player in the South Island, NZ, city of Christchurch. This was written in the first year or so when I was writing music and playing with some other musicians... and it was also a bit of a lost time... where I was floating around seemingly without a purpose... hence the lyrics
This recording was done in the “Ceļojums” concert in Valmiera, held in the “Vinda” young persons centre, on the 23rd of Feb. 2005. With Ainars Stors playing Saxophone (He is from the local bands “Pugrabs” and “Kompromise”. And Sandris Dubovs on trombone. He is learning Jazz and teaches Trombone in the music school in Valmeira.
I have done this song before in New Zealand live, with some very good class musicians the best time once was in a large concert with a Dzembe hand drum player and a very nice Jazz guitarist, but I feel that this version with these two very quality solo instruments is great… :)
